Now Accepting Submissions for Quick + Easy Beadwork

Recently I've been in the mood to make and wear large, blingy, colorful chandelier-style earrings to contrast the dark, cold winter days; and I'm always up for a beading project that can be stitched quickly. Yesterday afternoon I took about 15 minutes to work up these simple ear candies. I designed these easy dangles with circular netting. Projects like this can sometimes turn out the most wearable, trendy pieces.

Now it's your turn!

Calling beaders of all experience levels! We're now taking submissions for our second issue of Quick + Easy Beadwork, a special edition from the editors of Beadwork. We're looking for your most stylish, wearable, easy, and quick-to-stitch beadwoven jewelry projects. We want to see simple stitching techniques (peyote, herringbone, brick, right-angle weave, and/or square stitches) used to create fashion-forward jewelry that can be whipped up to wear to a weekend party, a casual family outing, or even the office.

Keep in mind: We do not accept projects that have been previously published in books and magazines or on websites (even Etsy). If any portion of your submission has been published previously, please let us know when and where. Also, your submission MUST represent your original work–it is both unethical and undesirable to submit a project that you have learned or copied from someone else.

Submissions deadline: We are accepting emailed submissions now through March 24, 2014, and we may request that you send in the actual piece before a final decision is made. Visit for complete submission guidelines.

We can't wait to see your Quick + Easy Beadwork projects!
