Name That Necklace and Win a Kit of Beads from Southpass Beads!

No matter how many fancy new glass bead shapes come out in the future, for me, there's nothing quite as much fun as creating with some good old Czech seed beads. Seed beads are what drew most of us into this art form, and I'm still always amazed at how they can be used to express so many different things at the hands of different artists.

Southpass Beads provided a gorgeous challenge kit to 3 lucky reader participants that included Czech seed beads, Czech fire polished beads, freshwater pearls, and pressed glass drops in a beautiful array of colors ranging from golden bronze to purple to deep, dark teal. Yummy!

Here's what reader participant Barbara Sienkiewicz had to say about her creation using this fun kit of beads:

"Crystals and pink Preciosa just had to be lace. I watch all the current vampire shows, and I wanted to design something that would suit that genre. A little romance, a little punk, a little Gothic. The green was a challenge because it’s not my preferred color, but I worked it in as an accent. Herringbone stitch was perfect for this project because the 'stacks' mimicked lace points."

Such a gorgeous beaded necklace needs a gorgeous name, right? Now it's your turn to play! Leave a comment here on the Beading Daily blog with your suggestions for a name for Barbara's creation before 12 midnight CST on May 4, 2015. We'll compile all the names suggested and choose our favorite! The winner will receive their very own kit of seed beads and glass beads from Southpass Beads just like the one pictured here. Please note: due to customs regulations, this giveaway is open only to residents of the United States.

Good luck!

Bead Happy,

Jennifer
