My Favorite Beading Projects From the June/July 2015 Beadwork Magazine
It’s always a good mail day when the latest issue of Beadwork magazine lands in my post office box. I can never wait until I get home to start flipping through the pages to see what great beading projects are featured in each issue! The June/July 2015 issue is full of great beading projects (as usual), but here are my favorites — I can’t wait to get started on these!
After all these years, I still love working with peyote stitch and cylinder beads to make cuff bracelets. British designer Carol E. Hanley’s Dancing Diamonds bracelet is a classic that goes to show this type of bead-weaving will never go out of style!
I’m a sucker for a Czech glass stud bead, and the simple, clean lines of Glorianne Ljubich’s Amphora Necklace is the perfect way to showcase your favorite color of these shaped glass beads.
I can’t wait to try the easy, clever right-angle weave bezel used to create the Bluet Blooms Bracelet by Csilla Csirmaz. If I get carried away, this might turn into a great beaded necklace project!
Of all the new shaped beads that have been introduced in the last couple of years, I’m still totally smitten with the O-beads. Megan Milliken’s “O” So Charming Bracelet uses size 8 seed beads and O-beads to create a luscious beaded bracelet.
