Inspired by the exotic city of Marrakech and its souks bustling with storytellers, acrobats, musicians and snake charmers – where should I begin to describe this stunning piece?

The pendant:
A gorgeous blue lapis lazuli cabochon with golden flecks of pyrite is set in a fine silver serrated bezel between 2 glowing carnelian rounds. A beaded sterling silver border surrounds the lapis. The sterling silver backplate has a raised edge and is handstamped at the 4 corners of the square. Even the generous bail, not to be left out, carries a carnelian cabochon. Measures just over 3 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom point and about 2 ½ inches across its widest point.

The necklace:
Triple strands of rectangular lapis tubes are spiced up with randomly placed, faceted, sparkling gemstone rondelles of garnet, carnelian, peridot and citrine. Closes with an adjustable, handmade sterling silver beaded toggle clasp. A faceted, juicy carnelian briolette finishes off the clasp. Adjusts from 18 to 20 inches.

You can easily remove the pendant to wear the necklace alone, or you can put the pendant on another necklace of your choice. I made the bail large enough that it should easily fit over just about any necklace or strand of beads.

One of a kind and completely handmade by me.
