If you are planning your trip for the 2023 Lancaster Maker Festivals and looking for local places to eat, you’ve come to the right place! It is important to keep fueled while diving into the world of beads, yarn and stitching. Whether in need for a solid cup of coffee, a filling meal or place to relax after a long day, we have you covered. Here are our recommendations for a cafés, restaurants and bars close to this Maker Festivals Lancaster venue.

Passenger Coffee & Tea Showroom 

Start your Maker Fest with coffee or tea and a hand-crafted pastry from Passenger Coffee & Tea Showroom. Located at W. King Street, the bright and modern storefront makes the roasted ethically sourced coffee beans all the more enjoyable. Passenger Coffee & Tea offers an experience with their Gongfu tea bar, and you can consume their coffee as espresso or by Aeropress, a French press.

New Holland Coffee Co. 

Wake up with New Holland Coffee Co. and their extensive coffee menu. Here, you have the option of getting up to 4 espresso shots in your drink. As one of the only in-house coffee roasteries in the area, they are dedicated to serving their community with quality coffee. New Holland Coffee Co. also has a wide selection of breakfast items if you are needing a little more sustenance. Whether you are in the mood for a hot drink or cold drink, they have you covered.

Café One Eight 

Named after their location on 18 Orange Street, Cafe One Eight is a great space to spend your morning or afternoon for any kind of pick-me-up. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in their sleek storefront but you absolutely must try one of their 14 coffee options. Not a coffee person? They also have a selection of teas and smoothies.

Square One Coffee Roasters 

Square One Coffee Roasters is a family-owned micro-roaster who has been serving Lancaster quality coffee since 2005. Their store offers hand-brewed coffee, espresso drinks, single origin espressos and seasonal espresso cocktails along with tea and pastries. You can also purchase different coffee and tea blends as well as some adorable merchandise so you can take a slice of Lancaster home with you.

Plough 

The cozy atmosphere of Plough is a wonderful place for you to relax with some rich and flavorful food. These dishes celebrate Lancaster’s heritage with a modern twist. Plough prides themselves in using local ingredients in their dishes, which are sourced from the region’s longest running Farmers Market. Plus, you can marvel at their extensive wine wall.

Southern Market Lancaster Food Hall 

Don’t know what you’re in the mood for? Explore some of Lancaster’s community favorites by visiting the Southern Market Lancaster Food Hall. This market features around 12 different places for you to eat and features dishes such as pho, sushi, baked goods, American comfort food and pizza. This is also a prime place to explore cultural cuisine from Latin America, Morocco, Colombia and Laos.

Shot and Bottle 

Enjoy a casual and easygoing dining atmosphere at Shot and Bottle. You can savor their creatively plated and hearty dinners on their patio seating. Whether you eat their dinner, lunch or brunch, they also offer a large selection of spirits, craft beer on tap and wines.

Blazin’ J’s 

Craving chicken after a morning full of crafting? Blazin’ J’s is the place for you. This chicken shop has beaming reviews from customers raving about their seasoned fries and classic chicken sandwiches. Blazin’ J’s douses the chicken in house made hot sauces for you to choose from, including no heat, mild, hot honey, hot and blazin’ hot. Make your way to Blazin’ J’s for a quick and delicious lunch break.

The Exchange 

Located 12 floors above the Lancaster Marriott, The Exchange has a birds-eye view of downtown Lancaster City. You can enjoy a sweet summer evening outside in their open-air lounge, no matter the weather. The Exchange offers fine wines, craft cocktails and locally sourced American cuisine with a beautiful view. Guests under 21 are welcome Saturday and Sunday during the day, but no guest under 21 are permitted after 4 pm.

Sakura Asian Fusion 

Recognized for their quality sushi, Sakura Asian Fusion incorporate tons of bright colors and fresh ingredients into their dishes. Dine in at a laid-back setting to enjoy big portions of classic Asian cuisine that will definitely keep you fueled throughout your day at Maker Fest.

Isaac’s Craft Kitchen and Brewery 

Open since 1983, Isaac’s Craft Kitchen and Brewery has a menu full of 29 made-to-order sandwiches as well as soups, salads, wraps and more, making it a great spot for lunch after a morning full of knitting or stitching. However, you may notice that their sandwiches have some odd names. That’s because every sandwich is named after a bird! They keep with the theme with their vegetarian options by using the names of flowers.

Silantra Asian Street Kitchen 

Got a craving for the taste of Asian street food? The menu at Silantra Asian Street Kitchen combines simple and fresh ingredients with traditional Asian dishes to deliver a refreshing meal. Here, you can pick and choose what goes into your rice/salad bowl or ‘bing,’ which is a Silantra-invented scallion pancake.
