Certainly not the usual Tucson gem and mineral shin-dig. Record-breaking temps this February threatened to dampen spirits, but not when it came to all my fellow beadaholics! We bought, and ooooed, and ahhhed our way through Tucson. Here are some of my Kristal Wick’s picks from the Whole Bead Show.

I had to scoop up a few of the goodies I found at this show. One of my new exciting finds was a handheld riveting tool at The Beadin’ Path (

Here’s Heather of A Beadin' Path giving me a demo.   You can use the riveting tool to rivet vintage metals and Lucite components like flowers to darn near everything like this bracelet.   A Beadin' Path also had enticing kits, and I just couldn’t decide!

Pema Arts has the most interesting and exotic findings from Tibet (

Rich colored stones enhanced with silver.   I love the ornate details in the silver.   A true ethnic feel.

Sonoran Beads ( had quite a variety of items sure to make you drool, from WireLace to Borosilicate glass beads.

Fruit beads of all flavors.   Glass bead caps.   Yummy baby glass rings.

You could do some serious damage with The Fiber Goddess ( Scruptous fibers, beads, and kits for the beady textile crowd.

Beautiful creations to inspire you.   Ric Rack to dye for (all hand dyed).   Bundles in every color.

Gail Crosman Moore captured me for awhile with her special metal baubles and felted eye candy (

Lot’s of choices . . .   She’s a smiling happy soul!   This one went home with me!

Make sure a trip to the Tucson show is on your bucket list; bring lot’s of ka-ching AND an empty suitcase!

The best is yet to bead!
