Free Beading Pattern: Brick Stitch Pumpkin Pie Earrings
One of my favorite parts of the holidays is the pie that accompanies it. Every Thanksgiving, my family and I would go to my Gammy’s house where I would devour the pumpkin pie that she makes from scratch. Paired with fresh whipped cream, the dessert is unbeatable to me. If you are also a lover of pumpkin pie, this free Pumpkin Pie earring project in brick stitch, designed by Danielle Wickes, is one you’ll want to try! —Gabby Axner

Step-by-Step Instructions
1
Cut approximately 48 inches of thread. Leave most of that thread behind as a tail.

2
Start the widest row and the row above it using single-column peyote stitch, as shown above.
3
Using brick-stitch technique, complete the top portion of the pattern. Use the long tail to complete the bottom half.

4
Attach a wire guardian using the thread bridges to turn and reinforce in the position shown above.

5
Using an eye pin, add decorative beads and then form a wrapped loop.

6
After forming the wrap, instead of trimming the excess wire, coil the wire inward using your round nose pliers.
7
Connect the eye pin to the wire guardian.
8
Connect the wire loop to an ear wire.
Repeat to make a matching earring.
