Egypt Beckons With This Bracelet

I try to work with all the new bead shapes when they become available, but I’ll be honest: I haven’t gotten around to using two-hole pyramid studs yet. They’ve always felt a little large to use in beadwork, in my opinion. But Michelle Gowland’s Pharaoh’s Finery Bracelet changed my mind and won me over to pyramid studs!

I love a good pun, and using pyramid-shaped beads in an Egyptian-inspired bracelet makes me happy on a very nerdy level. I’m also a fan of the Chan Luu wrap bracelets, so Michelle’s play on the technique was
appealing to me.

Imagine my excitement when I learned that Pharaoh’s Finery Bracelet was going to be our video project for the June/July issue of Beadwork! I got to watch firsthand as Melinda Barta Beadwork’s editor, demonstrated how to make the bracelet.

If you’re as eager to make this gorgeous bracelet as I am, buy the kit, download the video, and get in touch with your inner
pharaoh today!
