DIY Metal Stamping Project
In the Summer 2014 issue of Jewelry Stringing Magazine, Lisa Niven Kelly wrote an article called Put a Stamp on It: Metal Stamping Basics and Beyond. In this article Lisa covers: stamping basics, tools needed, how to stamp words on metal, how to create collage designs, how to add color to your impressions, how to stamp on leather, and more. I fell in love with all of Lisa's designs, and I have been wanting to try my hand at the metal stamping craze ever since. However, the ever occurring question of "When will I find the time for that?" prevailed. Today I have decided to put an end to my crafting hiatus and give metal stamping a try. I hope you enjoy this DIY metal stamping project! This makes for a great stocking-stuffer, small gift for the guys and gals on your gift list, or just a little somethin' somethin' for yourself! Start stampin'!
If you take a liking to this project and are interested in metal stamping, I encourage you to check out this Metal Stamping Collection (<–click here). Sometimes when you start a new hobby it can be intimidating.. you don't know exactly what tools you need, where to get them, what brands are best, etc. When this happens to me, I most often drop interest in the project right away because it seems like too much work. This kit includes over 300 pages of metal stamping how-to and inspiration plus five necessary tools needed for metal stamping. This kit will save you money and will prepare you for this new hobby! So check it out! 🙂
