Celebrate Spring With These Great Ideas for Bead Crafts!

At the end of a long, cold winter, I'm just itching to see the first signs of spring: sap buckets hanging from maple trees as the daytime temperatures rise above freezing (hooray!), sunny skies behind my favorite mountains as I drive through the Adirondack High Peaks, more eggs from our flock of laying hens, and best of all, more daylight! Of course, up here in the mountains we'll still have our share of spring snowstorms (like the one I'm looking at out the living room window as I write this), but just the idea that the first day of spring is just a couple of days away gets me in the mood to stitch, wire, and string some new bead crafts and beaded jewelry projects to welcome spring! Check out five of my recent bead crafts and beaded jewelry projects from the Beading Daily Shop!

There's nothing like a little lush bead embellishment in the form of beaded vines, flowers and leaves to celebrate spring! Cynthia Rutledge's Spring Celebration bracelet will have you dreaming of warm spring breezes as you create a pretty beaded bracelet that's perfect for your next garden party.
Add a tiny touch of beadwork to pretty metal jewelry-making components when you make Melinda Barta's Spring Blossoms necklace. You can give it even more color by painting the brass floral components before you attach them with these easy right-angle weave connectors!
Just in case you can't pin a real flower to your favorite hat or spring jacket just yet, there's Bonnie Clewans' Ooh La La beaded brooch project. Made using a sparkling array of crystal beads and an easy-to-use mesh pin finding, you'll find that this lovely beaded brooch is fun to wear all year long.
Can't wait to see the real butterflies fluttering through your backyard? Try your hand at French beaded flower techniques when you make the Springtime Butterfly by Arlene Baker. It makes a lovely beaded brooch or beaded pendant!
Arlene Baker's Victorian Basket Pin is a wonderful bead craft project for spring that perfectly showcases the delicate, intricate beading techniques of the era. This sweet beaded basket brooch is likely to become a treasured family heirloom!
