Beadwork Alternate Colorway Information for Agnieszka Watts’s Aral Sea Bracelet Pattern

Whenever we accept a design for publication in Beadwork, we always ask the artist to send additional colorways. We’ve found that one lonely bracelet or pair of earrings doesn’t look as nice in a photograph as two or three of the project in coordinating colorways. Even a showy statement necklace can benefit from a coordinated pair of earrings.

Agnieszka Watts is a designer who goes above and beyond when it comes to sending additional colorways. She always sends several versions of the main project, in beautiful complementary color schemes. And she often makes a multitude of variations, too.

Agnieszka Watts’s Aral Sea Bracelet

Agnieszka’s August/September 2017 project is the Aral Sea bracelet. The project is named after the gorgeous saltwater lake in Central Asia that has been steadily shrinking since the 1960s and has all but dried up. Agnieszka’s component-based bracelet brings the sea back to life with fun starfish shapes and anemone-inspired links.

The main colorway of the Aral Sea bracelet is a realistic brown and orange, with a splash of blue to represent the water. The materials list for this colorway is on page 25 of the August/September 2017 issue.
