Bead Crafts For the Holidays

Ever since I first learned how to bead more than fourteen years ago, I've enjoyed creating bead crafts for the holidays. From my very first pair of tubular right-angle weave Christmas wreath earrings to my more recent sparkling holiday beaded jewelry projects, I love to spend time during the holiday season with friends and beads alike. Whether you're making beaded holiday gifts for friends or looking for bead crafts to make at a holiday crafting get-together, take a look at some of my favorite beading projects from our newest eBook, 12 Days of Holiday Beadwork.

I've always loved those little, colorful furnace glass cube beads, and Tippy Mueller's Pretty Presents bracelet is the perfect quick gift idea for teachers, co-workers, and friends. Swap out the sterling silver wire for colorful craft wire to really make this classic bracelet pop!
Laurie Nelson's Christmas Tree Earrings will be around long after we've taken down our tree and turned it into a bird sanctuary in the backyard. These tidy little earrings are the perfect way to use up leftover beads or those oddly-shaped seed beads that I save in a little jar on my work table. For extra sparkle, you might want to top each one with a crystal bicone!
And because bead crafts are more than just beaded jewelry, I love these beaded cards by Constance Spates. They're such a sweet way to share my passion for beads with friends who don't wear jewelry. (If you're planning on sending these through the mail, make sure you invest in a couple of sturdy, padded mailing envelopes!)

Get these bead craft projects plus 9 more when you download your copy of 12 Days of Holiday Beadwork. You'll find more beaded jewelry-making projects, beaded ornaments, and home decor projects that will let you share your love of beads this holiday season. Plus, because it's an instant download, there's no waiting for the mailman — you can download your copy right onto your desktop or laptop computer and start working on your bead crafts right away!
