5 Things This Bead Editor Is Thankful For

Can you believe it's Thanksgiving Day tomorrow? Boy, this year has flown by! As I think about the holiday that's almost upon us and what it means, I realize I have a lot to be thankful for, both in my personal and work lives. Here are the things I cherish about my beading world:

MY COWORKERS. To your left is Linda Harty, the newest member of the Beadwork and Jewelry Stringing family–she recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with the team. Linda along with my other colleagues, Melinda Barta, Debbie Blair, Jean Campbell, Chloe Chatenever, and Kate Wilson, make coming to work fun. We all get along fabulously, and I don't take that for granted.
OUR CONTRIBUTORS. To your left is Lorelei Eurto, a talented designer who has been contributing projects to Jewelry Stringing magazine for many years. Lorelei is just one of the many designers who have generously shared their newest designs with the editors and readers of our magazines. Without them, our magazines just wouldn't happen. Their creativity inspires us all, and for that I am truly grateful.
OUR ADVERTISERS. To your left is Ali Sly, one of the owners of Lima Beads. I've known Ali and her husband, Kevin, for many years now. I always look forward to seeing them at the Tucson bead shows–the grand meeting ground for bead people. I think it's great that I work in an industry where the people I do business with are so nice and fun to be around. Our advertisers are our friends, too–how cool is that?
ALL THE BEAD MAKERS & MANUFACTURERS. To your left is Heidi Viau (left) and Jodi Patsiner (right) from Lillypilly Designs, makers of those engraved shell pendants, patterned Ultrasuede, and more. It's people like Heidi and Jodi who continue to bring new, exciting product to the jewelry making marketplace–product that in turn inspires designers to try new, exciting things in their jewelry designs. Their ingenuity keeps our world alive.
YOU, OUR READERS. Thank you for your continued support of our products. I realize that without you, I wouldn't have a job! I'm glad you visit us on BeadingDaily, and, of course, I would love to hear any suggestions you have as to how we might better serve you with our magazines and other products. Just post a comment below.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
