Pick Your Yarn and Hook

We officially start crocheting on April 5, so it’s time to start gathering your yarn now! The pattern calls for Plymouth Yarn Sea Isle Cotton, a lovely blend of Pima cotton and fine Merino wool. Check out all the lovely spring-ready colors available in this yarn.

You only need one hook to complete this sweater. The pattern calls for a size H/8 (5mm), but gauge does matter when it comes to making a sweater, so you may need to go up or down to get the correct gauge. We’re using Clover Amour hooks—the rubber handles make them super comfortable to use.

We want this CAL to be low-pressure, so start crocheting whenever you want! Our official start date is April 5, but you can get a head start or join later; whatever works for you. We’ll wrap things up on April 30, so you’ll have four weeks of community and fun as we all crochet our sweaters together.
