Turkish Ram's Horn Sock Pattern
By Anna Zilboorg
The ram’s horn socks are authentically patterned, but somewhat Westernized in construction. They start from the top and end at the toe.
This construction has one advantage when working a continuous vertical pattern: the stitches that must be picked up for the heel are on the sole of the foot; therefore, any imperfection in the pattern is less visible.
The foot of these socks measures 9¼ inches (23 cm). Each pattern repeat measures 13⁄8 inches (3.5 cm). Instructions are included for changing the length of these socks.
