You’ve seen it everywhere. At the moment, black jewelry is really hot! It can be sleek, mysterious, and trendy. Dark patinas are not new by any means, but their popularity has resurfaced with a vengeance. Here is a fairly easy technique to add a rich, black patina to your silver jewelry by using liver of sulfur that you can complete in less than half an hour.
Required Material:
Liver of sulfur nuggets
2 ceramic bowls
stirring stick
toaster tongs, just something you don’t mind blackening with which you can hold the piece
electric kettle or some means of heating water
a nearby faucet or other running water source
jewelry brass brush
dish detergent
fine needle file
0000 steel wool
A soft, nonabrasive cloth
Renaissance wax
cotton swabs
needle files
4X steel wool
gun cleaning swabs
