Yarn: Premier Yarns Downton Abbey Collection Matthew (75% acrylic, 21% wool, 4% viscose; 230 yd [210 m]/ 3.5 oz [100 g]): #DA4001-08 cinder brown (MC), 4 (5, 6, 6, 7) skeins and #DA4001-02 mulled grape (CC), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) skeins.
Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle; two 1½ " buttons.
Gauge: 1 rep = 2" and 8 rows = 4" in main st patt.
