Misdirection explores the versatility of the half-rectangle triangle, adding a fresh spin to chevron quilts. Inspired by the 1960s, this quilt features bold bands of color and negative space created with low-volume prints.

Finished Quilt:72 1/2" × 72 1/2"Finished Block:8" × 4"
  • Assorted prints (Large scraps at least 6" × 10", fat eighths, or fat quarters. The value of the fabric in each color family should be similar to achieve the striking contrasts in the design.) Navy, 1/2 yd. total (Use 6–8 navy prints.) Green, 1 1/4 yds. total (Use 10–12 green prints.) Yellow, 3/4 yd. total (Use 6–8 yellow prints.) Light gray (low volume), 4 1/2 yds. total (Use 20–25 different low-volume gray prints.)
  • Required Materials:Binding, 5/8 yd., Backing, 4 1/2 yds., Batting, 80" × 80" or double/full size, Fabric-safe marker, Lightbox
