Yarn Weight: 4 and 1
Finished Size: Large bear: 6¾ ” tall. Small bear: 4¼ ” tall. Yarn Large bear: Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool; 220 yd [200 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #910A winter white (MC) and #1986 purple hyacinth (CC1), 1 ball each. Small bear: Cascade Yarns Heritage (75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon; 437 yd [400 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #5618 snow (white; MC) and #5649 iris (purple; CC1), 1 skein each.
Needles: Large bear: Size 4 (3.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Small bear: Size 0 (2 mm): set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holder; polyester fiberfill; small amount of black fingering-weight yarn; tapestry needle. Gauge: Large bear: 22 sts and 29 rnds = 4″ in St st, before stuffing. Small bear: 35 sts and 45 rnds = 4″ in St st, before stuffing.
