Interweave Knits Winter 2017 Digital Edition
This product will be accessible from My Downloadable Products located in My Account after purchase.
This very special issue of Interweave Knits Winter 2017 features a collection that we haven't seen for some time: menswear. In our "Whiskey & Wool" story we've showcased five rugged, sophisticated menswear sweaters, along with seven women's wear design equal to their male counterparts. Dark, moody, steeped in traditional technique, this collection upholds the very best of Knits while carrying us into the future with a broader appeal. In contrast, our "Winter Bride" story is ethereal, bright, timeless, and elegant. This story captures the sophisticated tone of the issue while being decidedly feminine. This all white story features cardigans, shawls, a magnificent veil, and show stopping lace bridal jacket.

- Hard copy vs Digital
- Interesting issue
- Beautiful issue!
- terrible issue!
I have never received my subscription of Interweave Knits before and been so disappointed! Primarily sweaters for men & knitting for brides (?!), with a few uninspired cabled sweaters & a token bulky cowl thrown in. Nothing original, nothing inspiring -- unless I was planning a wedding, I guess. And the cover has the nerve to say 18 patterns 'for real life' -- really, a bridal jacket is real life, a VEIL is 'real life'?! A issue set to come out at a time when a woman is running for president for the first time, Knits has decided that 'real life' is some sort of Jane Austen fantasy, where you should knit a sweater for 'your man' & wear white lace. Very insulting.

- Great issue!
The editors and designers really deserve high praise for this issue!
I really like the idea of having themes in each issue, it gives the designers something specific to focus on and helps them stretch their imaginations.
The sweaters you all have come up with are variations on the classics and are really timeless. The winter bride idea is imaginative and each piece is attractive and not overly ambitious.
I think this will be an issue that knitters keep and refer back to as the years pass for project ideas.
The only complaint I have is that the typeface you chose for articles and knitting directions is not the easiest to read. Please consider choosing a sans serif typeface that is more readable.
Thanks for the great issue! (Posted on 11/7/2016)
