Upon finding over 30 pairs of scissors in her house, as well as their various cases, Karen envisioned a three-dimensional scissors case in the shape of a fish. The reflective knit beads cause the fish to look as if it is swimming.

Thread: Rico Essentials Crochet, 100% cotton yarn, laceweight, 284 yards (259.7 m)/50 gram (1.8 oz) ball; 1 ball of #001 White; www.woolwarehouse.co.uk
Needles: Knitter’s Pride Karbonz Needles, set of doublepointed, size 000 (1.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge www.knitterspride.com; Cable needle, size 00 (1.75 mm); Tapestry needle, small.
Notions: Gütermann Rocailles, size 9° seed beads, 28 g (1 oz)/tube, 1 tube of Pearl; www.guetermann.com; Buttons, ½ inch (1.3 cm), shank with flat back, 2; Washers, 2 (cut up a small piece of plastic canvas,punch a hole in the center big enough to hold shank of button) Split rings, 2 (to feed through shank of button after washer is placed; they need to be large enough to hold button and prevent it from coming through eye of fish)
