The gorgeous checkerboard flower motif is charted, flipped, and manipulated so the floats between colors would not stretch endlessly.The mittens incorporate a knit border and ring edging for the cuff, as well as unique crocheted motifs that have been adapted for knitting.

Finished Size: 8 inches (20.3 cm) in circumference and 9¼ inches (23.5 cm) long
Yarn: Lisa Souza Hand Dyed Cashmere Silk Fingering, 55% Bombyx silk/45% cashmere yarn, fingering weight, 400 yards (365.8m)/57 gram (2.0 oz ) skein, 1 skein each of Praying Mantis (MC) and Portsmouth (CC)
Needles: size 0 (2 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Markers, Waste yarn for thumb, Tapestry needle
