Inspired by Russian and Ukrainian knitting books published from 1950-1970 and implementing elements of Traditional Orenburg lace for the shawl and border “teeth”, Inna Voltchkova has designed a beautiful shawl.

Butterflies are popular historical motifs and symbols. They appear in Egyptian hieroglyphs, they have been used as symbols for love, the soul, or rebirth. You may even believe that good luck will come if a butterfly lands on you.

Enjoy knitting an inspired shawl with a combination of techniques and wrap yourself with a luxurious accessory that may bring good luck.

Finished size: 69 inches (175.3 cm) wide and 29 inches (73.7 cm) tall
Needles: Addi Lace Circular Needles, 32 inches (81.3 cm), size 2 (3 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
