Amanda Berka, Spin-Off’s assistant editor, used yarns featured in the Your Yarn! Cellulose and Protein! department in the Summer 2005 issue of Spin-Off for these mitts. Seventeen spinners created the yarns knitted into these colorful fingerless mitts. More

Your Yarn Purse

Joanna Gleason wove the beaded yarns featured in the Spring 2005 Your Yarn! department into a beautiful soumak tapestry purse, titled Tapestry Box.1. The purse was auctioned December 5-15, 2005 and the proceeds went to the American Textile Museum. More

Your Yarn Pillows

Tammy Kurzmack, Spin-Off's editorial intern, transformed the bulky yarns from the Winter 2004 Your Yarn department into two beautiful pillows. The auction ran from July 5-15, 2005 on eBay. The Home Textile Tool Museum, located in Orwell, Pennsylvania, was the beneficiary of the auction. More.
