First-place Needlepoint (sponsored by Zweigart) “Waterforms”

This piece gradually took shape after artist Jeffrey Kulick notices two separate stitches called “swirl.” Combined with original designs, this work was interpreted from a Jean Hilton stitch and Even More Stitches for Effects by Suzanne Howren and Beth Robertson. It uses predominately silk thread.
