Bump Sweater – Short row shaping on the front of this sweater and decorative ribbon ties allow for extra room to accommodate a growing bump.

Cot Blanket – This makes a great baby shower present and a fabulous way to show mother and new baby how much they are treasured.  Each square is knitted separately then sewn together.

Textured Pillow – The squares are knitted separately and
sewn together to make an envelope-style pillow.  A sachet of herbs can be added to make a relaxing herbal treat.

Beanie Hat – This hat takes only a few hours to knit.  The boy’s hat has funky stripes, while the girl’s features lazy daisy embroidery.

Boy’s and Girl’s Booties – Watching babies’ feet move furiously is a delight—just like the delight babies show as they find their own feet, remove their booties and expose their toes.

Mittens – Getting a baby to keep mittens on her hand can be a real challenge.  For older babies, join the pair with a twisted cord.

Cat, Rabbit, and Teddy Bear – Once the simple knitted rectangles are assembled and distinguishing features added, these animals become part of the family.

Blanket and Hat – This easy-to-knit combination is useful and practical and, when knitted in soft organic yarns, as delicate as the newborn wrapped within.

Fred Textured Sweater – A simple textured chevron stitch makes this lovely sweater a great baby garment—the simplicity ensures it will be a favorite to knit and wear.

Jo Jo Basic Crew Sweater – This simple sweater is transformed with beautiful lazy daisy embroidery around the eyelets on the girl’s version and groovy stripes on the boy’s.

Jasmine Lace Edge Cardigan – Named after the bump inside the Bump Sweater, this elegant girl’s cardigan has a delightful lace border.

Harvey Kimono – The kimono is a great design for a baby garment—it is very practical and looks smart.  A pretty picot edge has been added to the girl’s version.

Adorable Chenille Cardigan – Knitted in soft chenille, this cardigan is perfect to snuggle a precious bundle and envelop the baby in softness and comfort.

Kai Cable Sweater – This contemporary sweater is easy to knit and stylish, and will become a great favorite with baby and mom.

Geordie Stripe Yoke Jacket – This is a very simple design to knit.  Experiment with your own color combinations—add in more colors if you are feeling adventurous.

Milan Jacket – The toggle buttons and loops of this chunky jacket are reminders of a bygone age, but the textured stitch on the sleeves makes this a fresh, modern design.

Amelie Dress – This simple and versatile design is worked in two colors, and the flowers are knitted separately and sewn on.

Oz Vest – Vests are practical for active babies, as they provide warmth around the body but do not restrict movement.

Queen of Hearts Nursing Sweater – With its cute heart motifs, this garment cleverly hides its ultimate purpose as a nursing sweater.  Undo the buttons on either side for discreet mother-and-baby moments.

Organic Cable Nursing Sweater – Practical and elegant, this sweater demonstrates the essence of this book, taking a simple idea and crafting a beautiful garment with a purpose.

Leafy Lace Shawl – This wonderful nursing shawl is worked in an easy lace stitch with a fabulously soft chunky yarn.
