Meet the Author

Mags Kandis has been a knitwear designer for more than 18 years. As the former Creative Director of Mission Falls, she spearheaded twelve knitting pattern books sold through yarn shops across North America. Some of the most enjoyed are Wee Knits and Wee Knits, Too (designs for 6 to 24 months), Smitten (a collection of mittens), and East + West (a merging of cultures translated into knit designs.)

Inspired by projects from Mags' latest book, Folk Style, you will be introduced to some dry felting techniques, felted appliqué and stitchery. These simple techniques will open up endless creative possibilities for both felted and non-felted knit projects.

Embellish Me, Mucho
(All levels)
Learn an array of knit and non-knit techniques that can create truly unique knitwear designs. Add interest or detail to turn a simple garment into something special with embellishments and handcrafted buttons. A great workshop for novice knitters who wish to liven up past and future projects and seasoned knitters who crave something new. Prerequisite: Know how to knit (cast on, knit, purl) and crochet (chain & single crochet).
