Gansey by Elizabeth Lovick Winter 2007 The gansey is worked in the round from lower edge to the beginning of the armholes, then the front and back are worked separately to the shoulders. The shoulders are joined using the three-needle bind-off, and the neckband is worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up from the armhole openings and worked in the round down to the cuffs.
