Responsibilities:
The Production Designer, Books’ primary responsibility is to perform prepress operations and prepare page files for printing for Interweave Press books and book-related marketing materials. There will be some opportunity for design in this position, including, but not limited to formatting, chart/schematic creation, cross promo pages, etc.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will be proficient in Mac OS, InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, and Entourage. Familiarity with industry standards for print-ready files is necessary. Additionally, candidate must be team- and project-oriented, organized, a multi-tasker, with strong initiative, and verbal and written communication skills. Minimum of 2 years of 4-color book/magazine production experience.
