Donna Lish
Clinton, New Jersey Solar Exposure 7" x 6" x 10". Peyote stitch and netting. "I pursued beading seven years ago to find a structural support for my knitted sculptures. Adding beading as foundation, or skeleton, allowed me to focus on complexity of forms and on how beaded surfaces enriched and melded with the knitting. My work ranges from small scale to installation-sized sculptures, and the beaded elements accent some pieces, and in others are the major composition. I concentrate on form and whatever techniques and materials that will achieve my visions." |
