We are so pleased to announce Interweave’s latest endeavor—online
courses through our newly launched Craft University, and the first
course will be taught by PieceWork contributor Celeste Chalasani!

Celeste’s
article, “From Raised Embroidery to Stumpwork: Four Centuries of
Dimensional Needlework,” and project, “A Stumpwork Dragon to Make,” were
fan favorites from the March/April 2013 issue of PieceWork.

Celeste’s Craft University 2-week course, “Carnation Pin Keep,”
will guide students through several needle-lace techniques that provide
dimension to embroidery along with the history behind the techniques.

Step by step, you’ll learn how to create  detached
buttonhole, corded detached buttonhole, and other embroidery
stitches, and complete instructions for finishing the sweet
Carnation Pin Keep shown here.

dragon in your future!
