Description
Melissa Wehrle turns the humble rectangle into a dramatic cable-edged coat with the addition of sleeves and carefully plotted trims. Cables, ribs, and eyelets become the collar and deeply textured edgings of Angelica’s Coat.
Finished Size 58 ¼ (61 ¾, 65, 68 ¼, 71 ¾)” wide and 34 (35 ½, 37, 39 ¼, 40 ¾)” long. Coat shown measures 61 ¾” wide, modeled on 34″ actual bust. See Notes on sizing.

Needles Body. size 10 (6 mm): 36″ circular (cir) or longer. Ribbing. size 9 (5.5 mm): 36″ cir. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge 14 sts and 21 rows = 4″ in rev St st on larger needles; 14 sts and 22 rows = 4″ in double moss st on larger needles; 16 sts and 22 rows = 4″ in 2 – 2 rib on smaller needles after blocking; 29 sts of cable panel measure 7″ wide.
