** Please note all following sl sts will be worked in the back loops of the chs.

Berries

Working into the small loop at the end of the top vine stem, *ch 2, 7 dc into the loop, go around the back of the vine stem and sl st in the top of 1st ch 2 to join round. Sc in every other st around to close up the berry. Fasten off and hide the ends of yarn inside the berry. Cut off any excess*.

Repeat from * to * in the end of second vine stem.

Pom Pom Blossoms

Cut two identical cardboard circles that are 7/8” in diameter. Cut out a ¼” circle in the center of each circle.

*Place the two circles together. Thread the tapestry needle with yarn and wrap around them, coming through the middle and around the outside edge until the cardboard is generously covered. On the outside edge, cut between the two cardboard circles, all the way around. Now, separate the two circles slightly. Using a small length of yarn, tie a tight knot around the whole “bundle” of yarn. Now remove the circles. Roll into a ball and trim where necessary to create a nice round shape*. Repeat from * to * to create second blossom.

Stitch one blossom to each of the remaining vine stems.

Finishing

To make the vine lie flat, pin it out into desired necklace shape on an ironing board and spritz with water. Leave to dry.

To wear, simply wrap around your neck and pull the blossom end of the vine through the fastening loop.
