Crunch Tie

Introduction

tieProbably like most crocheters, I get very jealous of all the cool knitting patterns out there. While shopping with my husband for new work clothes, we saw all these knitted ties. And once again, I thought, I can do that in crochet. So for his new job, I made him this tie. And hopefully, one day he will wear it! If not, I will!


Materials List

  • 4 balls (or 350 yds) of DMC Senso Crochet Wool Cotton, Dark Olive Green #1304
  • US 0 (2.55mm) Steel Hook
  • Gauge

    15dc x 7 rows = 2”x 2”

    Fasten off. Weave in loose ends

    Finishing

    1. Fold tie lengthwise (wrong sides facing- use picture to help) and pin sides together.
    2. Whip stitch (loosely) sides.
    3. Refold tie by matching whipped stitched sides to middle of tie front.
    4. Block with steam and iron.
    5. Whip stitch top and bottom ends.
