Crocodile Stitch Purse – Free Pattern

Introduction

I liked the Crocodile stitch and wanted to make a purse from it.  Here it is, my own pattern.  I have also done a Christmas Tree with the Crocodile stitch.   Here is a good site to get instructions for the lining.  http://www.futuregirl.com/craft_blog/2008/1/tutorial-sew-lining-for-crocheted-bag.aspx

Materials List

8 or 9 ozs of Bernat Super Value in Oatmeal

or 8 or 9 ozs of Red Heart Super Saver

 Use I hook (for smaller purse, use G hook)

Finished Size

Purse is 12″ X 8″ X 2″ thick

Strap is 24″ LONG

Gauge

1 crocodile stitch is approximate 1 3/4″ wide

4 sc to each inch
