200 Stitches and a Free Mitten Pattern

Two-hundred crochet stitch patterns. Colorwork, lace, texture, stripes, puff stitches, cables-there is something for everyone! The design ideas are crowding against each other as I flip through the pages of the Crochet Stitch Dictionary.

Each stitch pattern includes a full color swatch image, written instructions, step-by-step photographs, and multiple detailed stitch diagrams! With all of the available resources, you can tackle any of the two-hundred patterns.

I just had to start designing with the Smooth Wave pattern immediately. Smooth Wave is a good introduction to creating wavy patterns in crochet. Wave patterns differ from chevrons because there is no increasing and decreasing to create peaks and troughs. In Smooth Wave, groups of doubles and single crochet alternate every two rows to maintain balance. It is important to work in two different colors, two rows in yarn A, two rows in yarn B.

This mitten pattern is fun and colorful! Enjoy this free pattern and order your own copy of the Crochet Dictionary. Now start designing!

Best wishes,

P.S. I'd love to see what you design with any of these two-hundred stitches. Share your pictures and ideas!
